Hi all!

We have some news on this... This is currently working as intended.

This is currently working as intended when playing levels: you can still use the landscape mode, but for the map and for some features like Kimmy's arcade (you can share your feedback about the feature with us here), you will need to tilt your phone or tablet and your game will work as intended.

We are doing this in order to be able to provide a better player experience for you all. This change enables us to deliver new cool features in the long term.

In the meanwhile, please keep sending your feedback our way.

To clarify, there are two scenarios:

1) Kimmy's Arcade cannot be played on landscape. (There might be an issue with this one that we're investigating and discussing here)
2) The map is not displayed on landscape. Levels are though. (This is working as intended)

We want to make it as easy and natural as possible to all of you out there, so all feedback is welcome. Was the messaging of "please rotate your device to play the arcade" in the screenshot not clear enough?

Thanks @rmpmap I apologize because I misunderstood. Now I get it. I will tag @QueenB who is the community moderator. Perhaps she will gave a solution for you. She should be notified when she is back in the office on Monday.

My rotation lock is on. Always is. It’s not my device. Started with last update yesterday. iPad software is up to date. I’ll go back to what I already said. I want to play landscape. I load the app and it is landscape. I click play and the screen turns to portrait on the level select screen. I choose the level and it turns back to landscape. Landscape is what I want but I can’t see the level select screen in landscape. Something is wrong with you last update.

What happens ic you move the iPad like rotating it. That is one thing that I don’t like about my iPad. It rotates too easily so maybe it’s not the game but the device.

clesr one thing up for me please. Are you looking to play portrait and it rotates to landscape. Or is it the opposite?

Still not working right. Loads portrait. Select level and play and it loads landscape. Finish level or quit level it goes back to portrait.

So once you get the portrait mode it stays that way? Please give it a few hours and write back here to let me know if it's still staying that way.

@rmpmap, after you play the level and it comes back does it remain in portrait mode or does it eventually go back to handscape? The more information that you all give me the better I can tag the manager to elevate it to the studio.

Same thing is happening to me on the iPad. Main screen is not loading landscape mode. But if you play a level it switches to landscape. It’s annoying.

You do not have to start at the beginning again. I am not on my computer now to get you the links so I will write to you again in the morning. The links will help you get your progress back. Were you playing through Facebook or King while playing the game?

Ok...now it won’t let me register via facebook and I’ve lost all my history. Won’t be playing this game any more as I can’t be bothered to start again! 🥺

Hi @Beels44, no one is in the office and it's now the weekend. Please clear your history and try it again. Can you still pllay the game even if's in the width instead of the length? As the community manager mentioned above they tried figure it out but could not reproduce the same thing.

There are no changes to this that we know of. Can you confirm that this is only happening to you on Soda? We have tested here due to your point and could not reproduce the same behaviour.

@rmpmap and @april577, we've tested the game and have not been able to reproduce this rotation issue, can you guys tell me what is the make, model and version of the device you're playing and confirm the game app version you have installed so we can test again?

Are you playing on a cell phone OR an iPad? If you are on cell phone,check if the "Rotation" icon/key is turned off!!

If you are on iPad, I am not sure, where to check for the setting... but I am looking at the settings on mine. Once I figure it out, I will write again

iOS 13 iPad 6th gen. no idea where to find version of your game but it’s updated to newest which is when this problem occurred. I’m attaching screen shots of the issue it’s not the worst problem in the world and I can just stop playing but it is a legit issue with your app

@rmpmap to find out your version you have to go into the App store where you get the updates. Click on the game and it should show you what version you have.

Hi guys
I have the same issue with the screen, since the latest update. I have version 1.154.5 and have also just updated to iPad version 13.3 after this problem started (still exists).
The game loads in landscape and then when coming on to the level screen (last pic on rmpmap’s images), the screen turns portrait (as though I had done so myself) and then if you hold it still, when you go on to the level it returns to landscape until you go back to the screen with the levels on.

@rmpmap, we haven't been able to reproduce this issue so if there is a way for anybody to send us a video recording so we can see what happens, that would be awesome.

Once you have done that, let me know the Ticket# so I can follow up with them and have a look at the video.

Voila! Orientation isn’t locked if that’s what you’re checking, but it could be an ipadOS problem there have been a few orientation issues last few months with software catching up to the right mode but not same as this.

I think I’ll just wait until next update. It’s not worth trying to video tape and then Post somewhere else etc. abbersbolton and I have reported the exact same issue. I’m sure there a lot more people with this issue too. QueenB are you testing this issue on an iPad?

@rmpmap, we have indeed tested this using the same iPad you have, same episode, same level and we're still not able to reproduce the issue.

The studio has recommended you try reinstalling the game app. Regrettably, you will lose any saved boosters and messages, your Daily Bonus streak and any other special events you have been playing.

Now if you're not up to it, wait for the next update and see if that solves the issue.
