Why does game returning to level 1
Each time I log in the game returns to level 1. I played that, as suggested by someone, went through the portal to play level 1152 (where I have reached), managed to complete that but then I could not continue and all the other icons had disappeared i.e the gear symbol, the portal etc, so I could not continue again. So I refreshed and it returned to level 1..........again! Any other ideas how I can get out of this stalemate please. It's starting to get really annoying. Thank you.

When I open Candy Crush, the middle picture is what I get. After I play level 1 to try and get back to my real level, I can go through the portal to my level, play it once and then all the icons disappear (top picture). Basically with no icons I cannot access any of the levels again, until I start again when it returns to level 1. And it goes through the whole thing again.

Right now, I'm asking you to check the steps below.
Check App Update - Log Out Game - Restart Device - Open Game & Log In - Restart game again.
These steps will solve your problem.

Thank you for your advice. However I think I may have sorted it myself. I think at some point after clearing my cache I altered the cookie settings relating to third parties, as other things on my laptop also kept repeating. So once I turned that back on, things seem to have returned to 'normal'. If I have further problems I'll try your advice. Thanks
