How do you get rid of the mousetraps in AlphaBetty?

I finally passed level 25 with the mousetraps. I don't recall getting a tutorial on these. How do you get rid of the traps?

They have to be "blown up" by either occupying a tile that is destroyed as a result of making a word with a crown, or via line blast (the purple specials you get for making longer words).
