Losing turns

I'm on level 78 of Alphabetty, I have 16 turns to collect 5 cheeses, but at each attempt I am losing turns.  At my 4th word, the counter dropped down to 5 instead of 12.  Noticed this yesterday & I started watching the turn counter, so at each attempt to complete this level I am losing 7 turns!  Any suggestions or help?

Could it be the blue tile bombs blowing up before you use them in a word? If so when they blow up they take 2 moves from you! Watch out for those and get rid of them as soon as possible!
