How do I access the 3 crowns which I bought for level 89 ? How do I use gold bars?

I bought a package containing 3 crowns which were supposed to be on the puzzle before I begin playing.  Also what are gold bars for and how do I access them?

The option to use the crown booster is before you start the level, you need to tap on the Crown booster and it will added to whichever level you want to use it in. 

Gold bars are used to buy boosters, tickets, extra lives and extra moves generally, though this an optional extra which is purchased and is not needed to in order to complete levels they do come in handy sometimes on tricky levels! You'll see how many gold bars you have at the top of the screen when you are on the road map, if you tap it you'll have the option to buy some.
