How does the Arrow line blast booster on Alphabetty saga work?

When I select it, I see I can put it on a letter and the arrows change depending on where I put it. But it just keeps moving around when I try to create a word. This is obviously not how it workd. But I can't get rid of it and since all the other letters are now stuck, I can't go on with the game. What to do? And where is the manual that explains the boosters and how to use them? It is pretty boring to not get any direction. I will quit soon because I cannot go on .

Ah yes the elusive Line Blaster, this confused me for a while too. When you click on the Line blast, as you know you need to pick a letter to put it on, you don't have to worry if you clicked by mistake as you will need to confirm with the green or red tick above the game board to finalise it's placement.
