Is anyone having a problem with Alpha Betty clearing words before you done forming them?

For the last 10 levels I have had my words cleared at 3 or 4 letters instead of letting me complete a 5 or more letter word.  I makes if very difficult to clear levels with the such small words.  I am currently on level 134 and it is getting to the point I am thinking about deleting.  I love the game just not the frustration of not being able to complete the words.  Ex. the word "riding" clears at "rid".

On PC it only takes my words when I lift my finger from the mouse, until that point I can select the letters I want. I haven´t heard of that issue!
