My artefacts are locked and also i have no library

For a few days now on my Kindle fire HD the artefacts are not selectable where the button normally is it now says locked and from the map there is no library symbol. Everything is up to date and connected, has anyone got a solution for this

    I saw another post about this and the player didnt have the latest version of the app, so check this first and see if it solves the issue.

    Unfortunately I had already tried that but still no joy but thanks anyway
