Alphabetty word frenzy issues level 226

I am currently playing Alpha betty on my Kindle Fire and am on level 226. I have had two issues: 1) there have been several times I have made a word that should count (no vined tiles, proper number of letters and the word is green) but it doesn't count towards my goal. Also, at least two times I have completed one group of required words (once it was the eight-letter words, another was the seven-letter words) and the next thing I know the green checkmark is gone and it wants me to complete that group again. Not sure what's going on, but it's making it impossible to complete the level...help! (And thanks in advance!)

Edit: I just played a round and both the six-letter and seven-letter checkmark reset back to needing one more word each to complete them...

Follow-up: it continues to be a problem. I have logged into FB, restarted my Kindle Fire, and force quit Alpha betty. Nothing works. Every time I get my green checkmark, the next word I make (regardless if it counts toward my goal or not) the checkmark disappears and it shows "x1" instead.

2nd followup...did not happen on FB version so I passed the level there. We'll see what happens next on my Kindle Fire.

Well this is definitely a Kindle Fire issue with the word frenzy levels. I hope you are able to fix it. I am on level 237 and the same problem is occurring.
