Adding friends

My mother, sister-in-law & I started playing Alpha Betty about three weeks ago. My mother & I are using Kindle tablets, and my sister-in-law is using an Android tablet. We can see "friends," but can't see each other. FAQ says to click the Friends icon in the sidebar and invite friends by E-mail link. Can't find the Friends icon. 

P.S. Posted question before, but cannot find the question or any answers.

Hi @Puffin (and @abe_coffee)!

You can play AlphaBetty Saga together with friends without Facebook as well.

First you all need to make sure that you have the games saved and connected to a King account, if you haven't connected it already. 

If you haven't the game saved on a King account, then open the game and tap the "My account" on the start menu. Tap "Register with email" and create an account.

Once the game is saved on a King account, go to King.com on a computer. The site do not work fully on a mobile device, so you will need to use a computer.

Log in to King.com with the same email that you registered on your King account on mobile. Open AlphaBetty on the site and in the left column you can add friends to your game by adding their email.

Finally, restart the game on your mobile and your added friends should appear within a few hours.

am not very good at using facebook ... but this may help ...
1) go to facebook to add friends
2) login to ABS using your fb login
3) if the login fails ... try "REGISTER WITH FACEBOOK"
4) login to ABS using your fb login ... you should see your friends

report back if you needs more details

if we get stuck maybe @Crazy Cat Lad will be around to give more help

Sorry, the second time I psted, forgot to add that we are not on Facebook. FAQ makes it sound as though it is possible to add friends without going through Facebook, but I can't figure it out.

Thanks for the help! My Mac won't display King.com. It took three trips to the library to use their computer, bringing my mother's and my tablet to the library, my brother and sister-in-law working their computer and tablet, and texting my sister-in-law, but your advice worked. 

May I suggest that the instructions found on this site be updated to clearly state that the entire process of adding friends must be done on a computer, rather than a mobile device?

It also is not clear that all the people who want to be friends must be on a computer and in the game on the Web site in order for the process to work.

Last, it would help if if the word "E-mail" were not used in the instructions and on the Web site. At least make it clear that the E-mail address is only for the purpose of identifying the user you want to add. I kept thinking that an actual E-mail had been sent and driving back home from the library to check my mother's E-mail.
