Hey Guys, I'm a newbie and welcome any tips and suggestions on game play. I'm a Washington, DC native currently living not far from there in Maryland. Im a college student mom and grandmom. I've played AlphaBetty off/on since it started and still have much to learn. Looking forward to some word fun and relaxation.🤗

Welcome to the community.

Here are some general tips for playing ABS. There are 6 different types of levels.

👑 collect all the required words 👑  

🍮 when a word is played using tiles with crowns then the word length is increased by the number of crowns in that word 🍮  

🍮 for example ... if 2 crowns are included in a 4-letter word then the word is considered to be a 6-letter word 🍮  

🍮 when a blaster is part of a word things are a bit more interesting 🍮  

🍮 blasted crowns add to a word's length ... and most blasted crowns are returned to the board 🍮  

🍮 for example ... if a 4-letter word has a blaster that hits 3 crowns then it is considered to be a 7-letter word 🍮  

🍮 the blasted crowns are then returned to new positions on the board 🍮  

🍮 🍮  

👑 cheesy plates 👑  

🍮 plates are played in sequence starting with plate #1 🍮  

🍮 playing a tile adjacent to a plate will remove that plate 🍮  

🍮 blasting a plate will also remove that plate 🍮  

🍮 as you advance through the levels more and more plates can only be removed by blasters 🍮  

👑 spread the cheese 👑  

🍮 cheese will spread when one tile in a new word already has been cheesed 🍮  

🍮 tiles with entanglers(vines) can not become cheesed until the vine is removed 🍮  

🍮 a blaster in the cheesed area will spread cheese to the first non-cheesed tile that is blasted(in all directions) 🍮  

🍮 blockers(rocks) prevent a blaster from spreading cheese beyond the blocker 🍮  

👑 pop bubbles 👑  

🍮 some tiles have multiple bubbles 🍮  

🍮 playing a tile that has bubble(s) will remove one bubble from that tile 🍮  

🍮 exception ... vines prevent a bubble from being removed 🍮  

🍮 a blaster will hit multiple bubbles in all directions 🍮  

👑 find the letters 👑  

🍮 hide-the-letters would be a better name 🍮  

🍮 these levels can be more about getting lucky tiles than being a skilled player 🍮  

🍮 do not let these levels drive you crazy 🍮  

🍮 get lucky and move on to another level 🍮  

🍮 keep making 4-letter words to create crowns ... play a crown to get the next letter in the mystery word🍮  

👑 collect cheese chunks 👑  

🍮 try to create vertical blasters above or below a chunk 🍮  

🍮 remove obstacles(vines and rocks) that lie below a chunk 🍮  

🍮 blast the "clean" tiles to drop a chunk 🍮  

🍮 plan B ... include the tiles below a chunk in a word 🍮
