Is there a glitch in Alphabetty Level 1?

I am trying to earn the lollipop hammers in Candy Crush by getting to level 10 in Alphabetty, however every time I try to play level 1 it glitches on the instructions to link letters together to form words and never actually allows me to play the game. Help!

    Are you clicking the letters individually (wrong) or clicking and dragging (right)?

    You have to click on the 1st 'A', hold down the mouse button, drag to the last 'A' and then release.
