Unfortunately, reinstalling the app does NOT work.
I had 500+ levels when the problem started. I tried reinstalling the app and replay the 500+ levels. It's been months, and I've yet to resolve the connection issues. So I've lost all my progress with nothing to gain.

If it's still not worked by Save Current Level Steps, you can click on "Contact Us" on bottom of the page then select "Problems with my Game" and then "Game didn't save" and finally you ask a problem and send Game ID (but use Game ID with phone as well and How to find your Game ID) that I hope they will help you but it taken longer.

The connection issue with Facebook is something that is still on-going unfortunately and reinstalling the app is not the solution as stated in this article.
However, to restore your level please reach out to King Support team here and provide your ID to them. They'll try to help you out the best they can. Please be sure to select "Problem with my game" and then "Game didn't save".

I see that I've been assumed stupid, that I wouldn't have tried to troubleshoot the problem and only give up game progress as last resort. It's a fair assumption, this is the internet, and there are people like that.
I don't use facebook, so whatever problem they have is unrelated.
I've tried using both Apple account and King account to log in. Both have the same error of "There was a connection error. Try again in a bit"
I don't need to restore my levels. I've already replayed all 587 levels.
All I want is to save my progress because I'm getting a new iPad soon. If I can't save my progress, I'm not replaying the levels again. It'll be goodbye forever.

If your only problem is the connection error, we have recently noticed that it is solved by turning off the Internet connection for a few minutes, without closing the game, and when activating it again everything works correctly. Please let me know again if it is not fixed.
