Nope and I had the same issue again last week with this event. The only thing I could do was either quit the level or use a booster. I ended up quitting once and using lollipops twice :( And @Foley1362 - yeah, we can hard stop the game when it does it, but the problem is, you lose a life when you do.
The introduction of the "friends", each with their own ability is a nice addition to the game. It allows options for difficult levels, and is what has kept me playing this game so much longer than any of the other Candy Crush games.
Yes, thank you. I didn't play the Superstar challenge because I was frustrated with the event, so I appreciate you letting me know they were repeat costumes. I know a new event was supposed to start today, but I don't have it. Any update on that?
I also lost the notice about the jelly queen. I saw the update yesterday about it being a known issue, so I waited a day. Since the event is supposed to start today, I figured I'd say something. I play on an Android device. Did a force stop and reopen. Checked for updates. No good. User ID is below.
That example was from the second week of the contest, not the last week. And I missed out on all of the costumes except for the bubble gum troll angel.
I did get all of the gift boxes, however there was one that was on the 'open' screen when I got busy with real life and didn't open it right away. When I came back to the game, it had reset and I did not get the daily box, but was given the weekly on. That is the only box I did not open, even though I did earn them all.
Yes, I did all of the trouble shooting steps. Additionally, I should note that I have an additional issue, that I posted on another thread. I have not received the character costumes for any of the weeks during the calendar event. And I did clear the 'gift' space for the rewards every day.

I love our annual Nerf Gun fight. When people spend their first Christmas with us, they get a starter gun (manual, only shoots a few bullets before needing a refill), but if they come back, they get a good one! We've got quite the arsenal. 😁
I'm disappointed in the weekly reward for the event. I was hoping for something special for completing a full week, not just extra boosters. And not even all of the boosters, only the lollipops and one other. I was hoping it would unlock a character or a costume or something. Anyone else?
I checked and I had an update. I installed it and the title screen has the holiday decorations but not the board. After a second shutdown, I now have it.
All of your questions have already been answered above, with the exception of what OS I'm using, but since I have a Google Pixel 3, I thought it was apparent that I'm on Android. I did not think to get a screenshot, but here's one of my team score.
There's nothing to really clear up. The game works fine, aside from forcing me to end the bubblegum level, which is considered a loss, and not being able to get the level rewards, or the team points. After I closed the level everything was fine, which tells me it wasn't my device.
