We allow everyone to open one gift on Christmas Eve. The rest wait until Christmas Day.
My younger daughter and family will come to our house this year for Christmas. We will keep the tradition of one present Christmas Eve. Our 4 year old grandson will get to pick his present. It will allow him to see what’s under the tree so he will realize on Christmas Day, that additional gifts (one each) from Santa have magically appeared.
Then after all the presents and stockings have been given out, we all sit and watch The Santa Clause. By this time my kids know the lines by heart. 😄
This year, on Christmas afternoon, we will all drive out to see our new house which we are building. The outside should be finished and if we are lucky the drywall will have been installed inside.
😊🐨💕
Hi @Lynette. I have no idea at all about how we'll spend the Christmas season this year. My husband is very seriously ill in hospital and so we are unable to make plans of any kind. My wish and prayers are for a speedy recovery, so that we can spend a quiet Christmas at home together, with family members visiting us at times over the holiday period.
Hello dear @Lynette🤗
We have started celebrating New Year after coming to USA in 2000!
Nothing much!! Watch the "Ball drop in New York" (on TV) on New Year's Eve! On the New Year's day, we go to an Indian restaurant where special Lunch Buffet feast is offered (for a bit higher price than usual)! But, it is always delicious, as the Chef is very talented😋
