What’s GAAD? 🤔💭
GAAD sparks conversations on digital access and inclusion. With around one billion people worldwide having disabilities, today is all about making the digital space welcoming for everyone. It all started off with a simple blog post and has since blossomed into a global event each May. How cool is that? 🌐
What's accessibility? 😲💭
Ever wonder why we tweak games to make sure everyone can join in the fun, no matter what? That's what accessibility is all about! Here’s what it includes:
- 👁️ Visual: This is about helping everyone see the game better. Think about having text that’s easy to read and colors that stand out from each other!
- 🎧 Auditory: This one’s for making sure everyone can follow along, even if they can’t hear the game sounds.
- 🖐️ Motor: Here, we tweak our game controls so they're super easy to handle, even for players who might find it tough to use typical game setups.
- 🧠 Cognitive: And lastly, we make the game simpler to understand and play for those who might need a bit more time to think things through, with clearer instructions and less complicated puzzles!

I have learned about improved accessibility for players in King games for better game play. I now have precision and greyscale visibility available to select as a check mark in my settings.
A global goal for King is making WiFi available to those who don’t have WiFi available like Malawi.

I've never heard of this day. Only I have been
here for 5 years and often read that players had various problems. Even
I had a problem in Farm Hereos with the fruits having a number and it
was always flashing. I commented on this because I have a circulatory
problem. That's why I made a suggestion. QueenB was still the CM for
the farm games and agreed with me.
Yes, I also had trouble with the yellow candies and cookies in Friends.
I couldn't really tell the difference and it was hard to see because
they were so similar. I had an idea for this. Either leave out the
yellow candies or design the cookies differently.
I can say that to myself.I saw this post by chance while I was in the game corner.🙋♀️
I have to make one more addition. This is only
possible in the community.
The players who are outside will not write to customer service, but
will then uninstall it again. This should not be forgotten. Yes, now
there is the help center I fought for. Very few people will write
there. There used to be no help center. -
Hi @LoFiGummy thank you for your threads here and in CCSS . I knew already about accessibility and that society in general needs to adapt for a more inclusive community. But I had never heard of this special GAAD day. Thank you very much for pointing it to us and for highlighting all the features existing in King games for an accessible, fun and comfortable gaming experience for all 🙏
