Hi @SWilson1 welcome back. Yes, in Candy Crush Friends Saga it is unfortunately the case that if you have ever missed to claim the daily reward, you will start at day 1 of the daily reward. I myself have had to make the experience.
If you play other King games, the procedure will be different in other games. For example, in Candy Crush Soda, you can "buy back" your daily reward and pay 9 gold bars to restore your streak. In Farm Heroes Saga, you'll only miss out on the bonus you didn't claim and the game will give you the current reward the next day without you having to pay anything.There are also games that don't require you to be online to claim a daily reward. In our game, you have to be online and the game has to recognize it (which is not always the case with an unstable internet connection).
Every game works differently in this regard.

Hello @SWilson1, I have frequently had my daily login streak restarted in Candy Crush Friends Saga. However, I have not seen a reduction in the daily rewards as a consequence. I am more disappointed in myself when I fail to complete my Daily Quests.
