What am I missing? Grrrr!

Level 1
The level 5248 that I just played and the one described in the past (video tutorials, written descriptions, etc.) don’t match up, which is fine except I cannot figure out how one could pass the new version of this level without a booster.
The key at the top is yellow and all of the locked boxes surrounding it prevent any special candy from reaching it. I’ve attached a screenshot prior to starting play. It might be a bit hard to see, but I think veteran players will be able to see the dilemma.
What am I missing? Thanks!
