"No Connection!" for Magic Duel

Hello! I've noticed that the Magic Duel part of my game has stopped working. When I tap "Go" on the Magic Duel part of my Adventures list, it brings up a pop-up that says "No connection!" I am fully connected to wifi and did not have issues until the past week or so. I already read the other help articles about force closing apps, restarting the phone, reconnecting to Facebook, etc. I have tried all of those things to no avail. How can I get this to start working again?

    Good evening Kethryvalis, 

    Facebook have been having a lot of permission changes recently and its knocked onto the games.

    Thanks for the response, Chicken Slayer! Unfortunately, none of the items on that page apply to me. I checked all of my Facebook settings, and everything is as it should be. I already tried reconnecting everything yesterday and it didn't help. Plus, I'm still able to see my Facebook friends in the game when looking at other's homes, passing them on the "game board," etc. :(

    Ah I'm sorry, was hoping it would be that easy. This is the main troubleshooting link, if this doesn't work or you have tried everything, then please let me know. I have the magic duel on mine so I know its working, so its either something blocking it for some players, or its one of their testing features but if it was that, I am sure it just wouldn't be there at all.

    Hi Kethryvalis,

    Would you happen to have another Internet connection to test if the issue is located there?

    Which version of the game do you have installed? It might be that there's a newer version available on the App store so please also check if the game version you have installed is the latest version.

    Hi, Mark!  

    Yes, I've played this game on all sorts of connections.  I play on Wi-Fi at home, but I've also played on Wi-Fi at my office on break, over mobile data when I'm waiting at appointments, etc.

    As far as the game version, I have the latest iOS; so, my phone auto-updates all of my apps.  I checked the App Store just in case, and there isn't a newer version available.

    Hi Kethryvalis, I know Mark is dealing with you, but I didn't want you to think I just ignored your comment :)

    The reason why the text was getting all smushed together is because when you add a reply as a comment, it doesn't seem to realise that formatting exists. Links don't work there either and we don't get notifications either that you commented, unlike when you reply like above. So don't worry, nothing you have done!

    If you're logged into Facebook to save progress, then when you reinstall, and reconnect  the data will appear back. The only thing you would lose is any saved boosters. But those are so expensive and some of the levels are so tricky, if you are like me, boosters are a wishful dream lol.

    If there were any problems with reconnecting, then the team can help you get progress back. At the moment though there are issues caused with Facebook connections..some are fine, some cannot connect. The team here are pretty good though with their magic wands ;)

    (Apologies for my post being all "smashed" into one paragraph - now I'm having issues here on the forums! It won't format my text - ugh.) Chicken Slayer - I have tried everything except reinstalling (afraid of losing my data) and nothing has fixed the issue. I am able to participate in other "activities" that pop up like the ghosts that visit, the Tricksies Party, the 1000th level, etc. The Magic Duel is the only one that has stopped working completely. (Though, it *is* hard for me to get the "Daily" prize to show up, either. My progress usually gets reset to Day 1 because there are just some days the little bird won't show up no matter what I do. I also had 1 day where I received free gold bars as a daily thing, but it hasn't happened again since then; so, I don't know if that's still a feature or if it was removed.) The Magic Duel "icon" is always available to me in the upper left corner with the "Go" button, but I always receive an error if I tap it. It used to be that it would automatically bring up Magic Duel messages for me (to either compete or to let me know who won) when I'd open the app; but, it hasn't done that in weeks.
