Hi @PrettyBubbles I didn't know that you can get brown hat going back to chapter 5. I can see some "drawbacks" on your choices, for example:
It is a long way from a 5000 level to go to level 72, 78 since a "go to level" option is not available
I open levels 72, 78 and they have 20, 21 balls to play. My choice has 13 balls, which helps if you are under time pressure (unlimited lives time is approaching 0 and you hunt a golden hat)

@Lemurtek @maf34100 - Both of you are experts in the game. I am a novice player. My curiosity started when I was in the team competition with @Lemurtek. I learnt about the hats from @Lemurtek . So, what software do you use to record your game? I think that is an interesting concept to record the game and learn from your mistakes. I am not sure how you do it but I am struggling with levels above 1000 and if @PrettyBubbles did not allow us to replay the levels for the last race, there was no way I reach 1000 levels.

Hi @KCullen127 I had the impression that you were higher than 2000. I do not need to record my games and actually I do not know how to do it. Replaying and observing a level helps you to define a good approach to win.
Hats and especially the double golden hat is very powerful to win almost any level and if you can combine them with the hidden spell you are a winner. You can read about golden hats on

The earliest level I remember getting a Magic Hat is Level 161 (Chapter 10 - Brittle Bastion) I could be wrong, My memory is sometimes lacking. I know you can get a Hat in Level 161, but have no idea what the probabilities are. Since you don't need to actually win a level to get the Hats, well, at least the first two, sometimes the Gold Hat is quite far up the level. You are way more organized than I am. In fact, I'm still freaked out that I didn't notice the White Bonus Star thing! I think I may need to go see the Wizard of OZ for a new brain! 😁In fact that is why I do record my levels, to help me remember stuff. Also, I record Levels so I can have evidence when I go to pester @PrettyBubbles and @johamilton here with Weird Questions and Observations about the game! 😉

1st choice chapter 127 level 2505 with 13 balls to play.
After ~1000 tries I cinsider 90% the probability to get the brown hat. Also it has black balls to help in the wise tree. Most important if a hidden spell is due to come and you must complete a flower for the tree you can play the 13 balls with orbs (you make 4 shoots 3 orbs+1ball) and avoid getting the hidden spell on this level.
2nd choice chapter 107 level 2118 with 32 balls to play.
100% the probability to get the brown hat. It is close to 2505, you can do the trick to play with 8 orbs to avoid getting the hidden spell on this level and complete the task of getting 60 balls with the orb for the wise tree.
@KCullen127 level 2505 is away for you now but keep in mind the above when you can play the level.
Last but not least avoiding the hidden spell on a level is crucial when you want to combine it with 2 golden hats on a specific level.
