Bubblegum Troll is very excited at the thought of being with his friends for Thanksgiving.  He wants to bring some Thanksgiving trivia and riddles to share so now he has to go to Google search for some ideas.

He is surprised to see how much information is posted on the Internet.  He realizes that this is not going to be an easy project, but he promised Tiffi that he will bring some good information.  He will just have to take his time and get the right information.   Much to his surprise, he finds quite a bit of information on Thanksgiving and Football.  He continues with his search but narrows it down now to Thanksgiving and Football.

Wow, only 2 NFL teams play on Thanksgiving day - The Lions play every year… and so do the Cowboys!

“Every year since 1934 (except for 1939 through 1944), the Detroit Lions have suited up on Thanksgiving Day. While the Lions began playing as the Portsmouth (Ohio) Spartans in 1930, George Richards, a local radio executive, purchased the team and moved them to Motor City. It was Richards’ idea to schedule a Thanksgiving Day match, and the sellout crowd (26,000!) and the game’s rousing success bolstered the idea for years to come. Since then, the Lions have been one of the traditional two NFL franchises to play on T-Day.

The Cowboys are another NFL franchise that plays every Thanksgiving Day, although their stint didn’t start until 1966. They’ve missed a couple years since (1975 and 1977), but you can count on seeing your ‘Boys every Turkey Day.”

That is some interesting article!  He decides to bookmark Why do the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys always play on Thanksgiving just in case he wants to read it again in the future.

Bubblegum Troll decides to take a break from searching on Google.  Let’s see how everyone is preparing for the holiday here.

If you arrived here, then you might want to start at the beginning of the story
