Two days later the Amazon package arrives.  Kimmy is so excited that everything looks great!  The days seem to be going too fast and now it’s a day before New Year’s Eve.  Tiffi suddenly checks the calendar and realizes that today is Elsa’s birthday.  She picks up the phone to wish her the best.

“Hello Elsa,” says Tiffi.  “Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to my dear friend, Elsa, Happy Birthday to you!”

Elsa is happy hearing Tiffi sing Happy Birthday to her.  They have become good friends ever since Elsa started writing all those stories.  Tiffi completely forgot to call her to see if she would like to join them for New Year’s Eve in Candy Town.

“Elsa, I apologize for not calling you sooner,” Tiffi says.  “We are getting together a few of us here in Candy Town tomorrow for New Year’s Eve.  Would you like to join us?”

That is sweet of Tiffi to ask Elsa, however, today she is going to be going out to dinner with her children and grandchildren and sometimes on New Year’s Eve she sleeps over at her son’s house and tries to stay awake until midnight.  She appreciates being asked but has to decline.  They promise each other to get together in January or February and then say their goodbyes.

The doorbell rings so she runs to see who it is.  It’s Jenny and her uncle.  Tiffi completely forgets that they made plans to be here the day before so that Mr. Toffee and Yeti could spend more time together.  It’s now time for dinner, so they all join Mr. Toffee in the kitchen.

Yeti and Mr. Toffee are so excited to see each other, and they walk out of the kitchen with their arms wrapped around each other.

Tomorrow is the last day of the year.  Let’s see how things work out here.
