“Girls, look at the weather predictions for New York City and Barcelona for New Year’s Eve,” Mr. Toffee says.  “Do you really want to go to one of those places with pretty cold weather and all those crowds.  We would have to get there pretty early to get a good standing spot and if the wind picks up then you might not enjoy the fireworks bouncing around trying to stay warm.  Why don’t we just have our own celebration in Candy Town?  Jenny and her uncle can come visit us here.  There are still fireworks when it gets dark.  Maybe we won’t have as many fireworks as they do in those big cities, but the crowds won’t be as large either.”

Tiffi agrees with her father that maybe it is better to remain local.  She tells Kimmy that they could buy some sparklers.  Suddenly Tiffi gets very excited thinking of New Year’s plans.

“Hey, let’s find out if King Chewy and Nutcracker want to join us,” Tiffi says with excitement.  “We haven’t seen Rancid and Rachel since the 1-year anniversary of the King Community.  I wonder if they might want to join us too.  We could ask Red Rabbit, Odus, Misty too.  I am going to call Jenny now and tell her about our change of plans.”

Tiffi starts to make some phone calls.  Jenny says that she’s good with staying local.  Rachel says that her and Rancid would love to join them too.  King Chewy is so excited that he will be included.  Nutcracker is thrilled to be making some plans for New Year’s Eve, but then tells Tiffi that Red Rabbit is with his cousins and he has plans to spend New Year’s with them too.   She leaves phone messages for Odus, Misty and Dachs.

Kimmy is so excited to see everyone again.  Let’s follow her as she does some Internet shopping here.
