Nutcracker felt very tired after a long day of walking around, trying to gather everything he needs to become the most admirable guy Tiffi ever wanted. He needed to buy some gifts with his leftover gold. So he went to the Candy Shop, and saw Mr. Toffee. He was worn out after working so hard selling everything to everyone in Candy Town. "Hello there Nutcracker", he said in a tired way, gratefully lowering his hat. "Good evening. I had a long and busy day today selling everything in my shop to those lovesick people. I need to go home so I can rest and get ready for another busy day tomorrow because everyone will be roaming around the shops like if there's another Great Scramble happening." He pulled out his keys to lock the doors. "I am about to close this shop. Do you need anything?".

"Wha, oh uh...yes please!", Nutcracker stammered as he spoke. "Uh, a-a box of chocolates, a bunch of uh, heart-shaped balloons, oh, a-and a teddy bear that smells like chocolate!"

"Oh, of course! Come inside if you please." Mr. Toffee held open the door for him, and Nutcracker went inside the shop. There was barely any candy left and almost all the balloons and flower bouquets are gone. "It really was very busy today, huh?", he asked as he miserably walked around the nearly deserted shop. He couldn't believe there was almost nothing left for him to get for tomorrow. After a pleasant day asking his friends for insightful advice, he had nothing but a little feeling of desolation to keep for himself. "I was supposed to get more stuff in by tomorrow. Hopefully the shipments will arrive soon.", Mr. Toffee said as he looked around for something for Nutcracker. Then to his surprise, he found a small and fancy gift basket with everything he needed. "Ah, this will be perfect for your lovely one".

Nutcracker turned around and saw what Mr. Toffee found. He couldn't believe his eyes. At last, he felt a feeling of exuberance as he finally found something so fitting for his style. "That looks so beautiful ! I really, really love it!!". Then he noticed a small bunch of balloons, like 4-5, that each say 'I love you', 'Be Mine', 'Sweetheart', 'Kiss Me', and 'XOXO'. "And those balloons there too! Oh, I am really feeling it! I'll take it all!". 😍

"I'm really glad you like it. No wait, you love it little cupcake!", Mr. Toffee chuckled as he gently poked him, making him turn red. 😳

"Oh, stop it you", Nutcracker giggled faintly. He really doesn't like being embarrassed, especially when Mr. Toffee treats him like a 4-year-old even though he is a little mature. The two of them chuckled incessantly until eventually they realize it is getting very late and they need to get home right away to get ready for tomorrow. "Well then, shall we get going?", Mr. Toffee said as he heads for the checkout area. Nutcracker spent his leftover 20 gold bars for the gift basket and the balloons and left the shop.

"Thanks so much Mr. Toffee sir. I'm really grateful of you. Take care and have a happy Valentine's Day!" He starts marching home with his hands full of so much stuff. Mr. Toffee locks the shop door and starts heading home as well. Let's see if he and Tiffi can get together for tomorrow's date. 😊
