The story of Jean-Luc

Once upon a time and many, many years ago …. 

There lives this little boy who loves playing with his toys. His all-time favourite toy is his nutcracker toy soldier. He actually loves it so much that he gives him the name of “Jean-Luc”. 

One Christmas Eve something strange happened in his bedroom.  Suddenly this bolt of light appears in the room. The little boy had been sleeping; however, the light woke him up. He looks around the room, his toys are still there, so he goes back to sleep. 

The next morning when he wakes up he runs to get his little toy soldier, but it’s gone! He looks on the floor, looks to the sides and even looks behind the toys on the shelf, no soldier! He goes running into the kitchen.  

“Mommy,” he says. “Did you see Jean-Luc? He was on the shelf last night when I fell asleep but he’s not there anymore.” 

The little boy starts sobbing and his mother goes over to comfort him.

“No, I have not seen him,” she says. “Let’s eat breakfast and then we’ll go look for him.”
