What is twintuition?

Tiffi is amazed at how much information Elsa has learned about identical twins. The boys are in the other room and they are enjoying learning about each other, so Tiffi heads on over to her laptop to read more about them. She finds an article about “twintuition” and it’s really neat. She decides to look up the definition and then goes back to reading the article.

Some people believe twintuition is realSome twins claim that they really can read each other’s minds, but far more often, you'll find a twin who has at least experienced "twintuition." From miles away, some twins say they can sometimes sense that something's up or that something might be wrong with their other half. (Info from here

Tiffi finds all of this very amazing but wants to learn more about them being able to read each other’s minds. She tells the boys to come see what she is learning on Google.

The idea of twin telepathy has been around for well over a century. The 1844 Alexandre Dumas novella, "The Corsican Brothers," tells the story of two once-conjoined brothers who were separated at birth yet even as adults continue to share not only thoughts but physical sensations. As one twin describes, "However far apart we are now we still have one and the same body, so that whatever impression, physical or mental, one of us perceives has its after-effects on the other." (Info from here

She asks the boys if they can read each other’s mind. The boys shrug their shoulders because they haven’t been around each other long enough to know if this is true. After looking at what Tiffi is showing them, they go back to doing their own thing.

Let's continue with the next part of our story – Tiffi speaks to Elsa

Start at the beginning – Tiffi co-authors another story – It’s a twin thing! (Sequel to "The story of Jean-Luc")

If you have not yet read the story of how Nutcracker learns that he has a twin, then please read The story of Jean_Luc first.
