Tiffi is so excited and can’t wait for Mr. Toffee to see their new pets. She takes out the food for her puppies and begins to prepare dinner because Mr. Toffee should be home soon. When Tiffi hears the front door open, the dogs make a run for the door. Mr. Toffee is surprised to see how friendly these dogs are. They are jumping up and down with excitement to know that they have a new home. It’s a bit difficult for Mr. Toffee to go inside.

Shortly after eating and cleaning up the kitchen Tiffi’s phone rings.

“Hi Tiffi, it’s Rachel,” she says. “Rancid was in total shock when I walked in the door with Dimples and Mopsy. Dimples ran over to Rancid before he even knew what was going on. Oh Tiffi, he loves Dimples so much and I think it makes me feel a little less guilty that I held off the proposal. Then Mopsy hopped over to Rancid so he picked her up. What about Lee and Honey? What did your Dad say when he saw them?”

Tiffi looks over at her father and he has both puppies next to him on the couch.

“Rachel, it’s the best gift that I could give my father,” Tiffi says. “Both puppies are sitting on the couch with him. He is scratching Lee’s back and Honey is snuggled up next to him. The three of them look so content and happy to be together. Tell Rancid that I say hi and please send me a picture of all of you together. I’ll send you a picture of my Dad with the two puppies. Let’s get together soon. Hey, on 1 May it’s going to be May Day. Maybe we can get together a few of us. Let’s keep in touch!”

Before closing this story, here is a picture of the two happy families!
