Rachel feels sad that she didn’t say yes to his proposal

Now let’s continue our story here.

Rachel admires Rancid and thinks that she is in love with him, but she needs more time before she can tell him yes.  She realizes that saying no to him broke his heart, but she would rather take more time to make such an important decision. 

“I only met him in October 2019, so it’s only been a little over 6 months,” Rachel thinks to herself.  

“That’s it!,” Rachel thinks. “Maybe I can get Rancid a pet of his own. Then he won’t be as disappointed that I refused his proposal for now. I have to contact Tiffi to see if she can help me with this.” 

“Hi Tiffi, how are you doing today?” Rachel questions. “I’ve been feeling so bad that I turned down Rancid’s proposal. I don’t think that he understands why I need more time before committing to a lifetime together. I just thought of this idea and I’d like to run it past you. I was thinking that maybe if I got a pet for Rancid to love that he wouldn’t feel so sad. What do you think?” 

Just then she remembers that Fern rescues pets. 

“Tiffi, I just thought of a brilliant idea!,” says Rachel. “Doesn’t Fern rescue pets? Maybe we should go to the Pet Rescue home. Fern can teach us all about the various types of pets and maybe even help us pick the perfect pet for Rancid!” 

Tiffi thinks that it’s a brilliant idea and tells Rachel that she will call Fern and get back to her.
