They finally meet up with Jenny.  Oh no, what’s going on with Yeti. Why is he sleeping?

“Jenny, we’re sorry to be here so late,” Tiffi says. “We really had good intentions of getting here on time, but then we met up with a couple of characters and before we realized it, the time was getting away from us. What’s going on with your uncle? Did he eat too much chocolate again?”

Jenny nodded yes. She is so used to him taking daytime naps that it doesn’t surprise her anymore. Just then he wakes up and is very surprised to see the girls.

“WOW! Hey! Hey hey, what are you girls doing here?” says Yeti. “Jenny did I fall asleep again? I don’t know why chocolate makes me tired. How is your father doing Tiffi? We have to make plans to get together again. Maybe for Memorial Day weekend.”

Huge hugs from Yeti to all his girls and then he throws them kisses. The girls want to check out Mother Nature’s wonders, so they wave goodbye to Yeti and start their new adventure. It doesn’t take them long to find a tree with beautiful vines of purple flowers climbing to the top of the tree..

Wisteria is a vine that climbs by twining their stems around any available support. They can climb to the tops of tall trees and spread out across the whole treetop. The purple buds look like bunches of grapes when seen from afar. They are a very popular plant for using on arbors and trellises.

“Tiffi, please take a picture of me and Jenny in front of the tree,” Kimmy says. "Those vines of purple flowers are beautiful!"

"Hey Jenny, have you ever heard of May Day?” questions Kimmy. “I was on Google and found out that the first day in May is celebrated as an ancient festival of Spring in many European cultures.  Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the festivities. Did you know that in celebration of May Day, people anonymously leave a May Day basket with spring flowers and sweets on each other’s doorsteps. Isn’t that interesting.”

Let's continue with the next part of our story – Look at all those beautiful flowers!

Start at the beginning – What is May Day?
