Do you know that this coming Sunday is Father’s Day? Some of you celebrate it now, while others celebrate it on other dates. Tiffi and Kimmy are celebrating Father’s Day and they have special gifts for him. Yep that’s my new story. You don’t want to miss this story because there is a special video on the last page - Let’s celebrate Father’s Day 2020
Some of you have happy memories about your father while other's don't. Some don't have memories of a father at all. To commemorate this holiday, would you like to share your favorite memory of the father image in your life?
I will start it off. My father was my hero. He passed away 3 days before my 17th birthday. Although I still miss him today I do have a lot of fond memories of him and me together. My favorite memory that I would like to share with you today is this.
Living in Montreal while I was growing up my father was a big fan of hockey and the Candian hockey team. Every Saturday night the two of us would sit in front of the TV to watch the game together. With his passing I gave up on watching it because the pain was unbearable. When I got married and had my kids, my husband was not really a hockey fan but somehow my son became a fan once his children were born. Living in New Jersey need I say that my first born grandson and my son love the New Jersey Devils. So as my grandson was growing up I began watching hockey again with him. The circle went around and now I have memories of my grandson and I watching the games together on TV.
Now it's your turn. Please share a fond memory that you have of a father, or a father image that left an impression on your heart. And, please don't forget to read the Father's Day story of Tiffi and Kimmy celebrating Father's Day with Mr. Toffee.

My father is very funny and caring but he is still our hero as he also cares and helps us! (Just like my mother) 💕

What do you share happy father day wishes if you are interested to answer? 😊
Thanks for sharing your story with us @Elsa. I have wonderful memories growing up with my dad, he’s a great man and I’m lucky to still have him in my life. I want to share with you another great man, my grand father in law, who passed away June 1st this month at 95 years old, 3 weeks after his wife, 93 years old, passed away, they were married for 72 years. I admired his love for life, even at 92, he was still willing to learn something new. He had always wanted to learn to play the fiddle, so at the age of 74, he learned how to play and never stopped till cancer forced him to stop this year. In May, when someone said to him ( he was suffering a lot, his wife was in the hospital after having a stroke, and they couldn’t see each other because of the coronavirus) it’s ok to go, he said he was waiting for his wife to passe away first, and he did just that, he died exactly 3 weeks after she passed. I miss the man who gave me courage to face each day but I’m glad he is with his wife and they can continue there journey together.
Love you always Mémère & Pépère, Nat.🥰💞
My father passed away about 15 years ago but I remember him coming to my school (in 8th grade). Once a year they would have the fathers come to the school for a day. The teachers had to be careful especially in the Math and Science classes because the fathers were primarily professional men, Doctors, lawyers, teachers, scientists etc so if they said something wrong, one of the Dads would speak up and correct them. But I remember my home economics class. My teacher was smart and had us make coffee cake in class so it was a great success😊.
My father always encouraged me to be whatever I wanted to be - just go after it. I really appreciate that and the love that he felt for me.

You have given me the best things in life: Your time, your care, and your love. I am truly grateful to have you in my life. Thanks for acting like a kid when I was a kid, acting like a friend when I needed a friend, and acting like a parent when I needed one. You are the best man I know. Although time and distance may separate us, your guidance, advice, and love has stuck with me through it all. I would not be who I am today without you. The older I get the more I realize how important it is to have a dad like you. You have provided stability in my life and the love and acceptance I needed.Thank you for everything you have done for our family.
Happy Father's Day!
Thanks to everyone for sharing here!
For us it is a public holiday. Which I don't find fair myself. Since women's day is a working day and women have to do a lot more. Go to work and have to take care of the household and the children. The men go to celebrate this day since it is a holiday. The woman stays at home with the child. I've always been an opponent.
