The king shares his memories

The porter comes back and tells Jenny that the King will speak to them. He escorts her towards the throne room. Jenny is concerned that Yeti hasn’t come back yet so she asks the porter to please go look for her uncle because he might have gotten lost.

Jenny walks into the throne room and sees the king. She thinks that Jelly Queen might be right.  Chewy has a strong resemblance to this king.  

“Hello, your royal highness,” Jenny says..  “Do you have a son? We have a very good friend of ours that looks just like you and he’s been feeling very sad lately because he doesn’t know if he has parents or where they live. I think you might be his father.” 

Jenny shows him the picture of Chewy that she brought along to show him. The king shakes his head that it can’t be his son and then explains why.

He tells Jenny that he had a son but many years ago he passed away. He starts to tell her that there was a bubblegum volcano that erupted and the castle was covered in bubblegum. He think his son was inside at the time but he couldn’t get in there to save him. The entire castle collapsed. He tells Jenny that he was devasted and the queen died of a broken heart shortly afterwards. He had to move because Cake Town was destroyed but every so often he would come back looking for his son. Maybe he wasn’t inside the castle when it collapsed. 

Yeti is escorted into the throne room and apologies for being late. He lost his way and the porter had to find him. Jenny introduces his uncle to the King and then explains to Yeti that the king’s son passed away many years ago when the volcano erupted. 

Yeti doesn’t buy that. Chewy looks exactly like this character. He asks the King if he could take a little trip with them to the Candy Kingdom in their hot air balloon.  The King agrees to go because the troll in that picture might be Chewy and he has to find out. Wouldn’t it be great if Chewy is his son and they both would have a happy ending. The king gathers a few things and they head out the front door. 

Up, up and away they go in the hot air balloon.
