Picnic Day!

Next morning, Dad and son have a nice breakfast. Arthur tells Chewy that the castle is gone and so is all that furniture. All that he had to bring was his clothing and some kitchen things. Now they can spend the rest of their lives together in Candy Town. That brings a big smile to Chewy’s face.  

“Am I too old to give you a hug”, Chewy questions. Arthur puts his arms out and Chewy makes a mad dash into those open arms. 

Chewy’s phone rings and it’s Tiffi. 

“Hi Chewy, I hope that I didn’t wake you,” Tiffi says. “I forgot to tell you what time we are all meeting at the park. How about 13:00 CET? Is that time ok for both of you?” 

Chewy says that’s fine and asks what food he should bring. Tiffi tells him that there will be plenty of food there and Dad is going to bring sweets from the candy store. She tells him just to show up with his father. Nothing else is needed.

The twins, Chewy and Arthur all head on over to the park together. Wow looks like they are all here already. Oh no! What’s going on? Yeti is fast asleep under the tree!  

Chewy introduces his father to everyone and they are all so pleased to meet a real king. 

“It’s really nice meeting all of you,” Arthur says. “If any of you call me ‘your royal highness’ or King Arthur, I am going to smack you silly. I want to be called just Arthur and no titles. Those royalty days are gone and now I am going to enjoy this new life with my son and all his friends. Let’s eat!” 

Red rabbit grabs a color bomb and wants someone to play catch. Dachs agrees to play with him. Just then they hear a bell ringing. What could that be? Could it be the ice cream man? Yes it is! Arthur gives Chewy money to buy ice cream for everyone. 

Chewy and Tiffi walk ahead to start ordering but then realize that they might not be able to carry all of it. They ask Jelly Queen to come help them.  

And so, a beautiful day in the park comes to an end.  Before they all leave, Tiffi reminds them that tomorrow is the 4th of July and there will be fireworks. They all agree to meet in town tomorrow late afternoon.
