A smile comes to Elsa’s face when she arrives at the King booth. This is where she belongs. She introduces herself to the two Kingsters.
“Hi, my name is Elsa and I am a King Superstar,” Elsa says. “I didn’t know that you guys were having a booth here today. Are the CMs in the King community going to be here?”
One if the Kingsters responds.
“Hi, my name is @WilyReptile and this is @TheFishsta. We are here helping with the booth,” the Kingster says. “This is a King thing and it has nothing to do with the King community. I volunteered to help out this weekend. Would all of you like to learn a bit about the King history?”
Of course, Elsa wants to learn how all this started! That’s a silly question to ask.
“Did you know that Candy Crush Saga is a puzzle game?” WileyReptile asks. “Let me tell you a bit about puzzles games before I fill you in all about King.”
‘Puzzle games are good for the human brain. There are beneficial to kids and adults. When playing a puzzle, there is a single goal; you must achieve. You have to think and devise strategies to achieve it. Thus, you drastically improve your reasoning skills, problems solving skills and the ability to find solutions.
These skills are invaluable in life. In addition to the development of skills, puzzle games encourage social interactions. The sense of achieving a goal could do wonders to the self-esteem of an individual. Are you ready to play?
Depending on the type of game, different puzzle games require different sets of skills are required to arrive at the correct solution. In some games, players need to have strong observation and analytical skills to be able to identify recurrent patterns. High inductive reasoning skills also offer an added advantage to the players. For puzzle games that require constant inquiry and discovery, strong deductive skills are essential to arrive at the correct solution.’ (Info here)
More people gather but the WilyReptile needs to take a 5 minute break. Suddenly she notices Yeti leaning against a display and he’s looking at his iPad. Elsa didn’t know that he knew about this or that he would be here. She goes over to talk to him.
“Yeti, what are you doing here?” Elsa says.
He looks up from his iPad and is very surprised to see Elsa.
“I heard about the game fair the other day,” Yeti says. “I didn’t think anything of it but this morning I had to come here to check it out. Isn’t it neat that King has a booth here? Hey what are you doing for lunch? Maybe when you finish here we can go grab something to eat.”
Sounds like a plan!
