‘The Scarecrow Festival is back and ready to welcome visitors in a whole new way! With social distancing in mind, the displays are set up in a new and exciting way, and you will love the fun themes, unique creations, and whimsical interpretations of current events. Some are spooky, some are silly, but all are sure to make you smile!
This year, there will be four displays set up around Cambria that allow for visitors to walk or drive past the displays, while maintaining current safety guidelines. The scarecrows will be positioned and displayed in well-defined areas around town that can be viewed by parking and walking. This year’s inaugural Scarecrow Walks are unique in that each display is outdoors, and they can all be easily enjoyed while maintaining social distancing.
• The scarecrows displayed in this exhibit will represent businesses and different activities that take place in Cambria, like the Cambria Christmas Market, Art & Wine Festival, Film Festival, and many more.
• Cambria by the Sea will be the theme of scarecrows displayed in front of Santa Rosa Catholic Church on Main Street. Oceanic adventures abound in this exhibit, with scarecrow sea creatures from myth and reality swimming all about.
• The Pinedorado Grounds display is all about fantasy, with characters from famous fairytales frolicking among some of our favorite scarecrow celebrities.
• Sugar skulls and bright colors adorn the celebratory scarecrows at the Day of the Dead Fiesta display, located next to the Shell Station and the Main Street Grill.’ (Info here)
