Rancid wants to do a cropsies talent show

Time for the two of them to stop and take a rest. Out of the blue, comes this singing and they both look to see where it’s coming from. 

“Let us entertain you ………………………

Let us make you smile …………………” 

Unbelievable! Right in front of their very own eyes are new cropsies that have never been in the game!  

“Hi corn and lettuce,” Rancid says. “I’ve never seen you in the Farm Heroes Saga game. Are you new to the area?  You can’t be that new because the corn stalks are very high.” 

The lettuce begins to speak saying that they have both been here for a little over a month now. 

“There is this new farmer in town who never farmed vegetables before,” Lettuce says. “Not too long ago he decided to grow us so that he’d had some food for himself.” 

Rancid asks the two veggies if they would like to participate in a talent contest.  

What’s that? 

Rancid gives both of them some details and how successful it was when he hosted the Friends’ Talent Show. He tells them that it’s too late to enter as a contestant, but he’d love to have them come on stage and perform. The veggies look at each other and the corn shrugs his shoulders.  

Why not? 

Rancid tells them that he will get back to them once he gets a place and date. 

And this now comes to the end of part 1 of our 2-part story. Rancid and Rachel start making phone calls to make all the arrangements and then Rancid contacts Amelia with the place and date. He tells her that he will be taking care of all the details and the cropsies’ rehearsal. She just has to call her farmer friends to invite them and then just show up that day!
