Rancid and Rachel see and hear weird things

The day is coming to an end so the guys look for a place to stay overnight and to eat dinner. The two of them spend the evening just taking it easy and relaxing. Very early the next morning they are up and out of bed just as the sun is rising. 

Rancid opens up the window blinds and the sun is very bright. It’s actually blinding his vision. He turns away from the window and wipes the tears in his eyes. This is how quickly the bright light affects his vision. He tells Rachel that they are going to need their sunglasses today. 

They enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then decide to go for a walk. Rancid is seeing Dairy District with such a different view since he is no longer wanting to steal the cropsies. Just up ahead he can see the carrots growing.

“Who is singing?” asks Rachel. “There is no one around but I hear voices singing.” 

Rancid looks all over and there is no one in sight, yet he is also hearing voices singing. No sooner do they get to the carrot farm Rancid sees the carrots moving around and they are singing. What is happening? How can carrots sing? The two of them look at each other and then at the carrots.  

Out of nowhere, comes this voice asking what they are staring at? Rancid looks in the direction where the voice came from and he can’t believe his eyes.  It’s a carrot talking to him. He closes his eyes and opens them again and the carrot is alive. He tells the carrot that it’s impossible to be alive and singing. 

“I have no idea what happened to us,” the carrot says. “Last night we all felt the same tingly feeling inside. Suddenly we had eyes and a mouth and everyone started singing. I see a whole bunch of green beans on the ground so maybe they are magical beans and it brought us to life.” 

Rancid thought that he was dreaming. Rachel told him that they have to find out what’s going on. They continue on their walk. Rancid can’t stop shaking his head in disbelief.
