Time to pick a winner

The two of them finish carving just as the MC announces that time is up! He tells them all to place their entries on the front tables.

The participants all move their pumpkins over and stand behind them. Look at this! One of the zombies is walking around! Now they have to wait for the judging to be completed. The three judges walk from one pumpkin to the next asking the participants questions.  

Amelia and gang show up as the judges are checking things out. Rancid sees Amelia and waves to her.  

“I told you that I’d show up and it looks like I came on time to see if you won the pumpkin carving contest,” says Amelia.  

One of the judges walks back to the beginning of the tables and announces the winning pumpkin belongs to Rachel. Wow! He hands her a first place ribbon. Rancid is very happy for her but disappointed that his pumpkin didn’t win. 

The crowd starts walking away and the two of them join Amelia and gang. 

“Hey Rancid, take a picture of me with Amelia, Hunter and Choo Choo,” Rachel says. “This way we’ll have a wonderful memory of our time spent here.”

What’s going on here? How did that creepy clown get into the picture. Guess he was just clowning around! Rancid tells the gang to stay where they are because he has to take another picture. He doesn’t want to tell Rachel why because she will scream really loud to see the clown standing near her. 

Second picture comes out much better! Time to go home! Amelia is so happy to have met Rachel and also to see the change in Rancid. She tells him that he shouldn’t wait this long to come visit them again.
