Rachel is frightened

As the two of them walk towards the contest area they pass a “spooky tree”. The eyes and mouth are flashing yellow and then they hear this howling sound coming from the tree. Rachel screams soooooooo loud.

Rancid starts laughing because he knows that it’s not a spooky tree. 

“Rachel my love, that’s not a real spooky tree,” says Rancid. “It’s got lights inside to make it look like the eyes and mouth are spooky. The sound is coming from behind the tree. You don’t have to run away from it. How about a hug and please stop walking so quickly?” 

They arrive at the pumpkin carving registration table and sign up. They are directed towards their table. Rachel tells Rancid that she’s going to read the rules of the contest. 

Rancid heads over to their table and then he goes to get a couple of pumpkins. Rachel tells him what she read about the rules. 

Let the pumpkin carving begin! They are given two hours to carve and create their best pumpkin carving.

“Rancid what do you think of my first carved pumpkin?” asks Rachel.

How did she do it that quickly?  

“Honey, it looks great,” says Rancid. “You really know how to carve them out so quickly. Maybe you should give me a couple of lessons on this.” 

Rachel starts a second pumpkin. She starts thinking of the best time to tell Rancid that she is now ready to marry him. She looks around to see how many contestants there are and then thinks that she better concentrate on this first.
