Chewy offers them help

They continue their search and end up on the street where the twins, Chewy and Arthur live. 

Chewy just happens to walk outside at the same moment that they turn the corner onto his street. He hears the three of them talking. No way! How can turkeys and pigs talk? Chewy has seen  and heard some strange things in life but nothing can top this!  

Tom walks over to Chewy and he asks if he has something to write a note. Chewy’s mouth drops open and he’s just stares at them. Tom is now in front of Chewy waving his arm to get his attention. That brings Chewy out of a trance. 

“Huh, did you ask me a question?” asks Chewy. 

“Yes, I wanted to know if you have some writing paper because we want to write a note,” says Tom. “You see it’s getting closer to Thanksgiving and we need to convince everyone not to eat turkey or ham for the holiday dinner. If they do they will be killing our mothers and we don’t want them to die.” 

Chewy tells him that he will go inside to see if he has some writing paper for them. He comes back with a roll of paper.

“I only have this huge roll of paper,” says Chewy. “Will this work for you? I also brought out a marker to write the note.”
