Yeti is falling down from a hole in the sky

Another loud BANG! The dinosaurs go over to the baby dragons to comfort them. Then they look around trying to figure out where the sound is coming from.

A little further down in the forrest, there are two dinosaurs fighting each other. Suddenly they look up at the sky and something is falling out from a hole in the sky.

That’s Yeti!   What’s going on? Hmmm……… that is very strange.  The dinosaurs look at each other like what just happened.

The cute little green dinosaur moves a bit closer to where Yeti has landed and gives him the once over. The dragon is breathing fire and is too busy fighting with the gigantosaurus dinosaur to take notice that this strange huge creature has just fallen from the sky.

The little dinosaur moves closer to Yeti. The rest of the dinosaurs go about their business except for the galliminus dinosaur where Yeti landed. He feels this extra weight on his back and turns around to see what it is.

“What is that and why is he on my back,” thinks the galliminus dinosaur.

He tries to shake Yeti off his back but doesn’t have much success. Finally, the little dinosaur has the courage to walk up to the gallimus dinosaur and he looks up to Yeti.

“Who are you and why are you here,” says the little dinosaur.

The gallimus dinosaur shakes his body even harder than before and Yeti falls off of his back and lands on the ground.

“My name is Yeti and where am I?” asks Yeti.

“You are in North America and my name is Penny,” Penny says. “We overheard scientists talking about Pangaea which was a single land mass. It was also called a supercontinent but it began to break apart about 200 million years ago, during the Early Jurassic Epoch (201 million to 174 million years ago), eventually forming the modern continents and the Atlantic and Indian oceans.  The scientists were talking about plate tectonics but I don’t know what that is.”

Good old Yeti brought his phone with him so he decides to do some googling to find out what plate tectonics is.

Let’s continue - What are plate tectonics?

Start at the beginning – Yeti travels in time
