When he returns back with some pictures, Andre tells them that this might be the last sit down wedding because of the virus and how people need to distance. He suggests that a stand up reception with some cocktails might be their best bet.
“We are going to be switching over to very small receptions and doing a cocktail hour” says Andre. “As you can see by this picture there will be no chairs and they are spaced 6 feet apart.”
Rachel and Rancid really like that idea. This restaurant is really on top of trying to protect their guests and keep them safe.
“As far as food is concerned I suggest something simple,” Andre says.
He opens up a book that shows various types of table food.
“We could do a table of various dips and some hot food,” Andre says. “Or we could do a table of cheese and fruits. Then we can have our waitress walk around with some hot hor d'oeuvres. For dessert I would recommend a Viennese table with some simple, but elegant pastries. We could also do the wedding cake for you. Do you have any idea of what type of wedding cake that you’d like?”
Rachel says that she really hasn’t thought about a wedding cake yet but she asks for prices on everything. She tells Andre that she spoke to someone at the bake shop and she wants to find out their prices. She asks them when they have to make the food decision.
“Don’t wait too long because Christmas is coming around faster than we realize,” says Andre.
Rachel promises to get back to him during the week.
