Finally Tiffi understands it!

The giraffes have finished eating and have joined Tiffi and the panda bears again.  She tells Pan-Pan that the problem might have to do with verbs so the solution is to find another word rather than attempting a literal translation. That makes sense.

“You have to dance the water with the beast to survive,” Tiffi says out loud. “Pan-Pan please try to help me find another way of understanding what Gandalf is trying to say. Let’s break it down into two parts. First we have the ‘dance the water’ and I totally have no clue what that means. The second part ‘best to survive’ might have something to do with surviving in the zoo. Wait a minute! I think I might have figured this out! Maybe what he’s trying to say is that in order to survive living in the zoo they have to listen to the zookeeper. That kind of makes sense!”

Tiffi goes back on Google translate and types in different variations of surviving in a zoo.   She types in ‘do what the beast tells you to do in order to survive’ and then she sees the translation in Spanish. She shows it to Gandalf and he nods his head and has the biggest smile on his face. She did it!

“Pan-Pan we did it!” exclaims Tiffi. “So now we have to keep the last article handy just in case we come across translation problems in the future. Then we can reread the article for the solution!”

They are all excited but that really doesn’t help solve the problem of how they were treated in the zoo.

“Hay un artículo en línea 'Diez veces que los zoológicos fueron malos para las jirafas' que explicará por qué no queremos volver al zoológico,” Gandalf says.

Tiffi puts his comments in the Google translate and gets the English version of what he wants her to know.

She googles the title and finds the article. She reads it out loud to Pan-Pan and Lin-Lin.

Let’s continue – That’s very sad!

Start at the beginning - What are the giraffes trying to say?
