The wind outside is howling. Something white and feathery is falling from the sky and resting on the window ledge outside. Suddenly it disappears, but more and more of these little flakes are falling until there is quite a bit on the ledge. 

Kimmy looks out the window and is quite surprised. She has never seen snow before so she gets this puzzled look on her face. What could that be? 

She wants to mail her Christmas cards for Tiffi and her father so they get it in time before the holiday. She is feeling sad that the pandemic is keeping so many people home for the holidays instead of being allowed to spend the day with family, but better safe than sorry. She gets dressed quickly and opens the front door. 

Mail in hand she tries to step outside as a gush of wind and snowflakes hit her in the face. It is cold out there! Being the curious character that she is she bends down to touch the snow. She is quite surprised to find it so cold. She puts some in her hand, but in a moment it is only a drop of water. Wow! What could this be?

She goes back inside to get her scarf, earmuffs and mittens. Now it’s time to step outside. She wants to make sure that she mails those cards today. This might turn out to be a very interesting and hopefully educational day for her.
