Tiffi and Elsa take a trip to Dairy District

Spring is in the air! Tiffi is getting restless because she hasn’t received any text messages from the game players. Actually, the King community has also been incredibly quiet lately. She decides to do some goggling to see what she can find. Maybe she can help Elsa get some ideas for new stories. She really has no idea what topics to type in but just types in random names. 

She comes across a list of articles about factory farms. What’s this all about? She

‘According to the United Nations, the number of industrial livestock sent to slaughter each year is equivalent to eight times the human population on planet Earth. At no other time in history have so many animals died or suffered so much throughout their lives.

Factory farming is the main cause of animal suffering and abuse. These silent victims have been converted into machines that generate meat, milk, and eggs. These animals are sentient beings with a desire to live, but we take that life away.

That’s it! She has read enough. Tears run down her face because she can’t believe what’s happening to these farm animals. Her phone rings and it’s Elsa calling.

“Hi Tiffi, what’s going on?” asks Elsa.

Tiffi tells her that she was bored so she went online to do some googling to see what she could find. She shares the information that she found on farm animal factories and she can’t hold back her tears. Elsa can empathize with Tiffi because she has heard about those factories and even though she understands it’s a business for some, she sees it as greed. Farm animals should be allowed to roam free. 

“Hey Tiffi, I’ve got an idea!” Elsa exclaims. “Let’s call Amelia and make a trip to Dairy District and we can see for ourselves how the farm animals are treated. I’ll get back to you after speaking to Amelia.”

A couple of hours later Elsa has made plans with Amelia and she calls to tell Tiffi the plans. The two of them are so excited and they will be making their trip to Dairy District on Friday.
