Tiffi can read their minds

Tiffi has fallen into a very strange city. Everything is gray! She notices some people up ahead so she walks on over to them hoping that one of them can tell her where she is. She sits down next to someone who looks sad. She taps him on the shoulder and he looks up at her.

“Who are you and where am I?” Tiffi asks.

The sad person looks up at her and she can hear him saying something but he’s not talking out loud. It’s sort of like she can read his mind. Wow! Where is this place? He answers her but she can’t hear him with her ears. It seems to be with her mind.

“Oh hello,” he says. “You are in the future. The year is 2052. Something happened to our city and everything has lost its color.”

So that’s why everything looks gray! 

“Did this just happen recently?” asks Tiffi with her mind.

“Yes it just happened a few days ago,” says the man with no face. “We woke up one morning and spent the day doing what we always do. Some work, others teach, some do repairs and others paint. It was a gradual loss of color. We are trying to figure out how to get the color back.”

He gets up and starts to walk away. Tiffi follows him. They walk a couple of blocks together and then he looks up and points showing her that it’s a loss of color all over the city.

“We don’t know how to fix it,” he says. “Do you have any idea of what we can do?”

Tiffi has no clue because she doesn’t know what caused it to happen. They continue walking.
