Just choosing a friend is difficult because it depends on the game mode. I've taken Misty now because it can come in several game modes and can usually be helpful with its changing special candies.

For animal levels, however, I prefer the red rabbit while for jam levels the jelly queen is preferred by me. For cookie levels, nutcrackers and badgers are my favorite friends

My favorite character to play with is our Yeti! I find his wrapped candies the most useful. I love his dance when he's wearing his spa outfit. Go Yeti, go Yeti ........ shake that leg!

Coming in second would be Red Rabbit. I love what he says when I give him his candy color - Yeahhhhh!

Tied in second place I would have to say Misty. Just the fact that she throws different specials on the board can be very helpful in clearing a level.

I usually try the suggested character the first time that I play the new level but if Yeti is available sometimes I choose him first. Some times the suggested characters just don't work for me.

My least helpful character would be Tiffi and Dachs. If the game doesn't start with enough red then I need more moves to get the red on the board so when I'm coming towards the end sometimes I might not use the red fish if it won't get me further advanced to win the level. Dachs is my least favorite. I don't think I've ever cleared a level using him.

Hi @Lola_Pop. I find Odus has usually been very helpful to me where other friends have failed. I also love his moves on completion of a level.

I love Dachs on cookie levels and Misty is often helpful too.

I have only recently encountered BGT in my game and know I'll upset some people by saying that I find his gum chewing intolerable - just the way my mother said you shouldn't chew!

My vote goes to Yeti . I played Friends again because of the Summer games Soda-Friends 😅. And I’m not that far in the levels, so I haven’t seen all the help characters I think. But Yeti is a good one 😉
