This topic also needs to be discussed with the appropriate parties, not trying to insult anyone!! But @johamilton correct me if I'm mistaken, this is a subject best handled by a Community manager on Monday as @johamilton has her own specific duties to attend to as well as assisting other members on like topics. For me the notification number is unimportant. I always read until I get to the last thing I've ever read. Then I know that I have read everything new. I don't stress about it. There are much worse things here.
