Thanks again @Elsa
This story shows what empathy is. We need empathy, to be empathetic when others have problems.
As an anecdote, I will say that some players have expressed their desire to never participate in the Hispanic corner, claiming that they only speak English. I respect it, of course, but those people should understand that thousands of players are forced to use a translator in order to participate in the community. If we all refuse to use a translator, we do nothing, there would be no community. Anyone can use a translator, if only to reciprocate, out of kindness, for many reasons. I will also say that I stopped participating in the conversations and contests of those people who refused to collaborate in mine. And I was very sorry to have to do that
Yes, I agree with the Spanish ambassador. That's why I made that decision and act accordingly. It always means we are a community, but basically everyone just makes his own. I took part in the other competitions and I will go to the 2 areas next week to wish a Merry Christmas. Because I have the necessary decency and respect. I am for every language that comes in here. I don't care whether I translate into English or French. It doesn't take much. You just enter the language in which you want to translate and that's it!😎
(I have to say that I was skeptical about reading this story when dear @Diamond Lim first tagged me a few days back. I don't like zoos at all as I have always felt animals should be free, in the wild, and not used as a form of human entertainment. Being behind bars is something that I do not wish for any living being and -ever since I was a teenager- I've made it a cause of mine to actively campaign for the banning of zoos. Thus, my skepticism. But then, having put my prejudice aside, I read your story & I couldn't be more thankful. Thank you for bringing awareness about what happens to animals in captivity and -even more so- for not romanticizing the facts & for telling it how it is. And, one more thank you #MotherOfSuperstars: Thanks for always sharing those fun & carefully lighthearted "strokes of your pencil" with us, they make all your stories worth the read! You rock!)
@frenioz00 is there such a button for translating or is that just an image? I agree with you and that's why I made sure to put in that information that they shouldn't be kept in a zoo. It upset me when I read about the giraffe being killed and the ape for trying to help the toddler that felt into the water.
It is just and image, @Elsa. 🤭 I looked for an "active translator" to post but couldn't find one so I just used the GIF as a "bridge" between my praise to your talent in Spanish & in English. I'd love to collaborate if you ever do anything in Spanish again -with our dear Spanish Ambassador @hechicerilla's venue first, of course.
