@Lola_Pop . And @Lady_Sarina thank you for the opportunity to share our stories on how advice changed our sagas. @QueenB thank you for the beautiful badge. @Diamond Lim thanks for tag.
The person who helped to change or advance my saga is my mother. She taught me to always exercise compassion. She urged that I always consider other people's feelings. She taught me the importance of walking that mile in some one else's shoes. To think of the words that I may speak and to not say things in spite or in anger. Because of her I try to use compassion when dealing with others. I try to build people up with my words and to not use them as swords to cut others.
The best advice I ever got was from a colleague -- to trust others. I had always wanted to do things myself because I thought I would do them better than anyone else. I am a bit of a perfectionist. However, my epiphany came when I had a subordinate who I recognized to be able to do some things better than I could. It was both refreshing and humbling, and it transformed me to become a better manager. I make mistakes, but I trust others to help me correct them so I can learn from them.
