Hi @Princess_Jessica thank you for this fun thread and wonderful chance to earn a badge. @Snow_Rider Love the badge
As a young child we didn't go trick or testing. There weren't very many neighbors near us. The first costume I wore was a cowboy. I had all of the items like chaps, vest, boots and cowboy hat as I had horses and rode western.
My favorite costume was when my friends and I dressed up as Charles Manson' s girls.
Favorite candy is Reese's peanut butter cups
This year I will probably stay home and hand out candy. But we don't get many trick or treaters. I live alongside an old cemetery and there aren't many houses on my street.
my first Halloween memory is trick or treating in the neighborhood. My favorite costume was one my mother made. She made large playing cards (front and back) and turned me into one of the red Queenβs playing cards who was painting the roses red. I wore a red hoodie and carried a pan of red paint. I had a tissue paper white rose that was painted partially red and had a paint brush with red paint on the bristles.
One of my favorite candies was Nestles Crunch and this Halloween I plan to dress my dog up and visit the neighbors.

My first memory was helping my dad carve my pumpkin. I started crying because the pumpkin guts stung my hands and made them itch and gave me hives/rash.
My Grandma was about 4 foot 8, tiny and always wore simple, plain, everyday cotton dresses. I was probably in 4th or 5th grade the year I dressed up as Grandma. It wasn't raining that year so my mom put flour in my hair to make it gray.π§ I wore her dress and coat as my costume. Not a fancy costume but my favorite.β€οΈ
Reese's peanut butter cups are my favorite candy. My son has a severe life threatening peanut allergy so I've only had a few in the last 24 years.
I have no plans for Halloween this year and I'm fine with that.π€
@Kerrie @johamilton @Princess_Jessica - hello ladies! π¬πβ¨ππππ©·
Homemade costumes are truly the best! With two daughters, one might assume that prom dresses hold great importance, right? Not in my household... at least not during Halloween, when costumes take center stage. Each year brought more events to attend, and letβs be honest, you can't wear the same costume twice, just like a prom dress. As a self-taught creator, I crafted incredible costumes for the girls year after year, complete with hair and makeup. I joined in on the fun too! My favorite homemade costume was a Dalmatian, featuring ears, a tail, and spots, along with a collar and leash. Amazingly, it still fits! I simply turned a white sweatshirt and sweatpants inside out, painted spots using various-sized sea sponges, and for the tail, we stuffed a homemade tube of white fabric. A white ball cap completed the look, adorned with eyes, a nose, and floppy ears. It was by far the simplest yet most delightful costume!
